All new Miller Homes are built in-line with modern building regulations which mean they are extremely energy efficient compared to older properties. Research by the Zero Carbon Hub and NHBC Foundation found that new build homes can be over 50% more efficient than renovated Victorian properties.

We go one step further by complementing our energy efficient homes with energy efficient appliances, water efficient sanitary ware (including dual flush toilets and aerated showers) and low energy or LED lighting, all of which help to make the running costs of your home even lower.
Going beyond our homes we consider the local environment, community feedback and industry best practice in the design of our developments to ensure that they are attractive, functional and great places to live. In 2015 86% of our current developments are located within 500m of a public transport node. *Based on HBF analysis of EPC ratings, taking into account the Energy Price Guarantee (EPG) increases on 1 April 2023. A report, 'Watt a Save', published by HBF in February 2023 has stated with the Government’s Energy Price Guarantee increasing in April 2023 to £3,000, average household bills will increase again, as will the savings that new build homes can offer. Under the new prices, the average new build will cost £1,707.42, saving £2,510.73 as compared to buyers of older properties who will be facing bills of an average of £4,218.15. Buyers of houses, rather than flats or bungalows, will see the greatest savings, at £3,117.85 a year.
